Marjorie 'Mickey' Bachman

Marjorie Mickey Fern Bachman, 83, of Marshalltown passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014, at home. Funeral services for Mickey will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. also at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Marjorie Hauser was born on May 31, 1931 to James and Stella Thomas Hauser outside of LaMoille, Iowa. Mickey graduated from LaMoille High School with the class of 1949. On May 25, 1949, Mickey was united in marriage to Clyde Bachman in Marshalltown. Mickey had been employed with Marshalltown Instruments and the Regency Hotel in the kitchen retiring in 1991. Mickey was a member of the UAW Local 893 in Marshalltown and was an AARP Member. Mickey loved to watch professional and college basketball and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. She was an all-star player for LaMoille High School. Mickey also loved to read and watch John Wayne movies. Left to cherish her memory is her children: Patricia Richard of Storm Lake and Jerry (Sheila) Bachman of Marshalltown. Grandchildren: Erin, Sean, Megan, Leann, Doug, Aaron and Tyler. Great grandchildren: Chase, Delaney, Tyler, Dawson, Jace, Jared and Bailey and a sister Doris Hibbs of Florida. Mickey will also be remembered by her good friends; Ruth Karl and Bev Betts. Mickey is preceded in death by her husband Clyde, parents, sisters: Maggie, Jess and Irene and brothers Bud and James Tuff Jr.
