Born Marjorie Dillon on August 30, 1932 in Union, Iowa, she was the daughter of Errol and Nellie (Hammond) Dillon, the second youngest of nine children. She grew up in Union, graduating from Union High School. Marjorie was united in marriage to Lynn Wogan on April 14, 1957 at the Union Church of Christ. She worked for several years as a beautician before her full-time role as a military wife, loving mom of four and homemaker. The family moved often for the military, including Paris, France where the boys were born and several places throughout the United States. After Lynn’s retirement, they settled back in Union, Iowa and later in Marshalltown. She was a “hands on” type of mom, unafraid to teach her kids how to ride a bike or throw a ball. Marjorie was an excellent cook, best remembered for her cinnamon bread and rolls, pot roast and her famous rhubarb jam. She took part in the bowling league in Eldora, and was a member of Center Street Baptist and Calvary Baptist. She adored cardinals and butterflies. Her later years were spent doing jigsaw puzzles by the picture window, watching baseball games and college football halftime shows (she loved watching the marching bands). She also enjoyed playing Bingo at the Senior Center and especially enjoyed herself playing slots at the casino.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Joyce Grogan and David Wogan, both of Marshalltown, and Jeff (Shelly) Wogan of Union; her grandchildren: Amber Wogan (Josh Stoltenburg), Brandy (Ryan) Cormeny, Kyle Wogan (Crystal Anderson), Nichole Wogan (Trent Miller), Abigail Wogan, Erica Rose, Aaron Wogan, Krisstifer Walker and Maggie Walker. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren plus twins on the way and her sister, Pat (Jim) Niner.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her first husband, Lynn Wogan; her daughter, DeAnna Walker; second husband, Don Cobb; her parents, Errol and Nellie Dillon and seven of her siblings.
