Marjorie Ann Davis, (88), of Grundy Center, Iowa, passed away on January 21st, 2016. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28th, 2016, in Ottumwa, Iowa, at St. Mary of The Visitation Church at 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the family, and will go to support the Puppy Jake Foundation. Marjorie Ann Sullivan was born to Michael and Helen (Feehan) Sullivan on July 9th, 1927, in Moravia, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the area, graduating from the Moravia school districtwith the class of 1945. Marjorie later attended business school inDes Moines, Iowa. On October 1st, 1951, Marjorie and William Davis were united in marriage at St. Marys Church of The Visitation in Ottumwa, Iowa. Together the family made their home in Ottumwa, later moving to Galesburg, Illinois, Bettendorf, Iowa, Ankeny, Iowa, Lake St. Louis, Missouri and eventually Marshalltown, Iowa. Marjorie worked as a telephone switchboard operator for Ma Bell, as well as Star Forms in Bettendorf, Iowa, Younkers and Liberty Mutual in Des Moines. Marjorie was a member of the ladies and couples golf leagues in Lake St. Louis, Missouri. She loved golf, and sewing. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Rhonda Marie(Wayne) Johanson and Sandee Ann (Pete) Gavagan, grandchildren; Michelle (the late Randall) Lamb, Jack Frost and Deb Greim, Angie (Chad) Snyder, Amanda (Matt) Martin, Brock (Kayla) Johanson, and Lisa (Jeff) Larson, Philip Gavagan, ; great- grandchildren; Samantha, Charlie, Ethan, Jordan, Haley, Ella, Luke, Kara, and Wyatt, siblings; Mary (the late John) Hannam, Helen (the late George) Thode; sisters-in-law; Mary Ann Berrier, Margaret Ann and Larry Bottorf; nieces and nephews Carol, Pam, Gary, Patty, Mark, Ann, Mike, Scott, Mike, Jim, Lisa, Theresa, Kaylean, and Don. In death Marjorie rejoins her parents Michael and Helen Sullivan, her hubby Bill Davis, brothers-in-law Jim Davis, John Hannam, Henry Berrier and George Thode, and grandson Randall Lamb.
