Marjorie McFadden, 85, of Marshalltown, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Burial will be held in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. She graduated from New Providence High School in 1940 and Central Iowa Business College in 1941. Marjorie has resided in Marshalltown for over 60 years. She was employed by Fisher Controls and retired from there in 1982. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi and the ABWA. She enjoyed shopping, reading, watching mystery shows, and tracking weather and current events in her journals. Left to celebrate her memory are her children: Joyce Reeder of Urbandale and Mary (David) Miller of Marshalltown; grandchildren: James (Carrie) Reeder, Carrie Reeder, Rachel Reeder, Joshua Doll, Jacob Doll, and Jeffrey (Stephanie) Doll; great-grandchildren: Abigail and Hannah Reeder and Devon Downs; niece, Virginia (Boyd) Vanmeter; and nephew, Gene Steelman. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
