Marjorie Richeson, 76, of Marshalltown, died late Friday night, September 6th, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 14th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Harlan Nuss, Chaplain of the Iowa River Hospice, officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Albion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Iowa River Hospice Home. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Ph. 641-844-1234. Born Marjorie Joann Hall on March 4th, 1937, in Centerville, Iowa, she was the daughter of Charles Rex and Lola Olive (Lewis) Hall. She received her education in the Green Mountain Schools. In 1969, she was united in marriage to Melvin Richeson in Marshalltown. They resided their married lives in Marshall County where she was employed at the Iowa Veterans Home for 30 years in Central Supply as a supervisor. Marge enjoyed reading, scrapbooking, flowers and gardening, traveling and treasured her family ,especially the grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Mike (Connie) Matney of Centerville, David (Nachita) Matney of Marshalltown, John Matney of Conrad, Kathy (Eric) Overland of Nevada, Karla (Larry) Gibson of Toledo and Karen (Rob) Coulter of Melbourne; two step-daughters; her precious grandchildren: Jeremy, Nicole, Alison, Kurtis, Lance, Ben and Bridget, Dallas, Danny and Joey. Also surviving are her siblings: Dean (Mary Jo) Hall of Cincinnati, Iowa, Donald (Ellen) Hall of Gladbrook, Elaine Turnbull of Marshalltown and Gary (Joanie) Hall of Garwin; her mother-in-law Ruby Richeson of Marshalltown as well as sister-in-law Ronny Hall in Texas, brother-in-law Richard Brewer of LeGrand, brother-in-law Jerry (Ardella) Richeson in Louisiana and many nieces, nephews and friends. In death, she rejoined her parents, husband Melvin, brother Richard Hall, father-in-law Gerald Richeson and sister, Floy Brewer just last month.
