Marjorie Stubbs

Marjorie Ann Stubbs, 86, of Conrad, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Green Mountain United Church of Christ in Green Mountain. Visitation will be on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Marge and her family.  Marjorie Rosfjord was born on November 27, 1931 in Marshalltown to Herman and Mabel Josie Knudson. After high school, Marge attended business college for one year. On June 28, 1953, Marge was united in marriage to Howard Stubbs at the LeGrand Friends Church. Marge had previously worked at Lennox in Marshalltown, the Green Mountain elevator and the Marshall county auditor’s office where she retired from. Marge had been a member of the Red Hat Society, Central Iowa Artist Association, OWO and current member of the Women’s Fellowship group. She enjoyed cooking, going to church activities, playing the accordion, gardening, painting and drawing as well as attending her grandchildren’s sporting activities.   Marge is survived by her children Joni (Kevyn) Zacharias of Conrad and Daniel (Michelle) Stubbs of Tama as well as grandchildren Brent Zacharias, Blake Zacharias, Kristina Stubbs and Danielle Stubbs. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Elickxander, Dayne, Klein, Aria and Maverick and sister in laws Barbara Rosfjord and Janet Stubbs.  Marge is preceded in death by her husband Howard, parents Herman and Mabel, sister Vivian Kouba and brothers Howard and Donald.
