Mark Benjamin Brown

Mark B. Brown, 49, of Iowa City, formerly of Conrad, entered into the arms of his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, on the morning of November 1st, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Memorial services celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 19th, at the Gathering Place in the Community Heights Alliance Church in Newton, Iowa, with Pastor Cory Stout officiating. He received his education in the BCL Schools in Conrad. Mark was most recently employed in Iowa City in raising Schnauzer dogs and had previously done landscape work in Florida and Cincinnati, OH and homebuilding/marble working in Billings, Montana. Left to cherish his memory are his parents Martha (Keith) Mizell of Newton, siblings: Douglas (Patricia) Brown in Oregon, Karla Wagner of San Diego and Elisabeth (Stephen) Dykhouse of San Diego, six nieces and nephews, several cousin and aunts and uncles including a special uncle Roger (Nancy) Gardner who was inspirational in his childhood. Preceding him in death were his grandparents and a nephew.
