Mark Eugene Swanny Swanson, 44, of Marshalltown, died January 2, 2009.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Mark graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1983. He went on to attend the University of Iowa and graduated in 1987 with a degree in Business. On March 14, 2003, he married Stephanie Daniel in Marshalltown. Mark worked for the City of Marshalltown in the Sewer Department for 15 years. He was a member of the union. He enjoyed playing darts, biking, golfing, being in the outdoors, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and the San Diego Chargers. His job was to make people happy.Left to mourn his sudden loss are his wife, Stephanie, of Marshalltown; his children, Chase Swanson, Chelsea Swanson, and Corinn Swanson, all of Marshalltown; his father, Jerry Swanson, of Marshalltown; and his siblings, Rick Swanson of Marshalltown, Becky Wamble of Texas, and Marla Peter of Marshalltown.In death, he has rejoined his mother, Dorothy Swanson.
