Marlene Lowe Doyle, 70, of Tama died on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center.A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2007 at Christ United Methodist Church in Toledo, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial rites will be held after service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown is caring for Marlene and her family. Ph 641-844-1234. Marlene Lowe Doyle was born on September 1, 1937, in Toledo, Iowa. She graduated from Toledo High School in 1955. She continued her education at the University of Northern Iowa. Marlene was married to Monte Nachazel and to this union one son and two daughters were born. Monte died in 1980. She later was united in marriage to Adrian Doyle on November 24, 1989 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She was employed at Bethesda Nursing Home and later Tama State Bank. Marlene was a member of the Toledo PEO, Christ United Methodist Church, Farm Bureau, and was the Howard Township Secretary/Treasurer. She collected Hummel figurines and angels. Marlene was a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, the New England Patriots, and the Iowa Hawkeyes. She was especially proud and fond of her grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Adrian Doyle, of Tama, her son Steve(Mary) Nachazel of Iowa City, her daughters Connie(Rod) Haughey of Toledo, and Lynne(Jon) Hurlburt of Highlands Ranch, CO, her grandchildren Shelby Haughey, Kelsey Haughey, Zachary Haughey, Jack Hathaway, Katelyn Hurlburt, Kelli Hurlburt, and Natasha Nachazel, and her great-grandchildren Shaylee Supianoski and Caden Haughey. She is also survived by her siblings Steven (Linda) Lowe of Spirit Lake and Thomas (Betty) Lowe of Mt. Pleasant. In death, she has rejoined her 1st husband, Monte Nachazel, and her parents and grandparents.
