Marlo Miller, 87, of Laurel, Iowa passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015, at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil at St Henrys Catholic Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Marlo Hugh Miller was born on December 17, 1927 in Roswell, South Dakota: he was the son of F.T. and Elizabeth Gaspard Miller. Marlo served our Country honorably in the United States Army from 1949, until 1953, he was stationed at Camp Carson, Colorado. On July 7, 1973, Marlo was united in marriage to Christine Schilts in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They later divorced. Marlo worked for the United States Postal Service as Postmaster in Laurel. He was a member of Lions Club International and the American Legion. Marlo enjoyed carpentry and history, especially Civil War and Aircraft. He was a member of St Henry Catholic Church and the mens prayer group. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Diana Villers, Zach Villers of Columbus, Ohio, Marie Miller of Oakland, California and Rachael Miller of Columbus, Ohio, the mother of his Children, Christine Schiltz, grandchildren Nolan and Oliver Villers, siblings Cyril Miller of Cortez, Colorado and John Miller of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and several nieces and nephews, In death Marlo rejoins his parents, F.T. and Elizabeth Miller and brothers, Gerard and Buell Miller.
