Marlyn Dale Crosser, 79 of Whitten, IA, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2025.
Marlyn was born on February 14, 1946, to Fred and Mabel (Penelrick) Crosser in Eldora, IA. Marlyn graduated from New Providence High School with the class of 1964.
Marlyn was self-employed as an electrician tradesman at Crosser Electric, where he retired.
Marlyn and Pamela Ann were joined in marriage on January 7, 1978, at the United Methodist Church in Conrad, IA. Later on, he was also a member of the Whitten Community Church for several years.
Marlyn loved to hunt, especially deer, turkey, pheasants, elk, and morel mushrooms. He also enjoyed spending his time gardening, where he would often donate some of his produce to his friends, family and the church. Along with garden produce, Marlyn would often times donate meat that he processed as well.
Marlyn was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Ann Crosser, his parents, Fred and Mabel, and his brother Warren Crosser. He is survived by one sibling: Nancy (Carroll) Teske of Fort Dodge, IA; his children: Amy (Chad) Kruse of Mitchellville, IA, Shelley Crosser, Shaun (Sara) Gonnerman of Okoboji, IA, and Craig (Darla) Gonnerman of Iowa Falls, IA. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at Hauser Cemetery in Whitten, IA. A Celebration of Life will be held the same day, Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 11:30 A.M. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home of Marshalltown, Iowa. Attendees are encouraged to wear camouflage attire.
