Martha "Corky" Miller

Martha “Corky” Helen Miller, 71, of Marshalltown, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Grandview Heights and under the care of the Iowa River Hospice Home.

Funeral services for Martha will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will take place prior to the service; beginning at 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to the family. Martha Miller was born on February 19, 1952 in Marshalltown to Claude and Dolly Abney Miller. She graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1971. She was united in marriage to Rick Jones for 30 plus years. Martha had previously worked at Staples and Wal-Mart, and most recently was the school librarian at Marshalltown High School. Martha enjoyed gardening (had a green thumb), cats, and watching late-night television.

Martha is survived by her husband: Rick Jones. Children: Austin (Michele Waite) Miller of Des Moines and Coltyn (Brea) Miller of Marshalltown and step-son: Seth (Rachael) Jones of Kentucky. Grandchildren: Ryleigh, Carter, Sawyer, Max and Caroline. She is also survived by her sister: Marie (Earl) Cronk of Marshalltown.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents: Claude and Dolly and her siblings: Barbara, Pat, Claudia, Sandy, and Charleen.
