Martha Suzan Foran Witt, 83, of Marshalltown, passed away on

Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Accura Healthcare.

Martha Suzan Foran was born on October 12, 1939 in LaMoille,

Iowa to Oscar and Blanche Williams Foran. Her family and

friends best knew her as Suzan or Sue. She was united in

marriage to Walter Keith Witt on August 17, 1963 in Omaha,

Nebraska. They were married for 43 years, until his passing in

2007. Together, Suzan managed Keith’s construction company

in the 60’s and 70’s; worked as a realtor for several years, and

also worked as a Pharmacy Technician for Walgreens for close

to 20 years. Suzan was an avid reader and loved her crossword

puzzles.

Suzan is survived by her child Barbara (Jim) McCready:

grandchildren Meghann Hammitt (Lonnie), Keegan Holtsclaw,

Sara Holtsclaw, Madeline McCready, Ian McCready, Anna

McCready, Emolly Witt, and Alexander Witt, as well as three

great-grandchildren. Suzan also had several dogs and cats, but

most adored her two cats: Callie and Bootsy.

Suzan is preceded in death by her husband, Keith; children:

Kathy and Brian; parents and eight siblings: Patsy, Lorain,

Geneva, Marceda, Jolly, James, Harry and Robert.
