Marvin Duane Borton

Marvin Duane Borton left us to be reunited with his mother and other loved ones in heaven on September 15, 2018 at 12:50 a.m. Per Marv’s request there will be no funeral or visitation but a celebration of life at Vaughn’s Pub will be held on September 20 at 4:00 p.m. 22North 1st Ave. Marv was born on October 13, 1958 to the parents of Clarence and Dorothy (Hall) Borton in Marshalltown, Iowa. Marv was a graduate of Marshalltown High School. He grew up in rural Marshalltown and continued to visit the farm house through his life. While at the farm he loved to grill, have bon fires, and help out any chance that he could. Marv was a car buff and enjoyed the “Classics”. His love of cars crossed over in to watching NASCAR racing. In his free time Marv enjoyed playing pepper with his friends and family. Music played a big part in his life and he loved to dance when he had the opportunity. Marv was a big hearted guy that was a friend to everyone. The main stay in his life was his family that will deeply miss him. Left to cherish Marv’s memory is his wife Renee, sons Jason and Joel Freland, brother Alan Borton, father Clarence, and four legged friends Bo and Roscoe. He is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy, and cousin Jerry Borton.
