Mary Amick

Mary Lee Amick, 92, of Gladbrook, died Friday evening, August 31st at the Westbrook Acres Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 5th, at the Lane Chapel of the Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lane Chapel one-hour prior to services for visitation. Mary was born to Dan and Vena Webb on October 9th, 1914, in Peach Orchard, Arkansas. She was raised and educated in the Arkansas area, eventually making her home in St. Luis, MO. She was last married to Reynolds Amick, who has preceded her in death. Mary moved to Iowa in 1979 to be near her son and his family. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and her faith community. She has been a resident of the Westbrook Acres since 1991. Surviving are her son, Jim (Barbara) Hartsoe of Gladbrook and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren in the Midwestern states. She was preceded in death by her husbands and parents.
