Mary Bell

Mary Elizabeth Bell (73) of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away in the care of Iowa River Hospice on May 26th, 2015. A memorial service for Mary will be held at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home on Saturday, May 30th, 2015, at 10:30 am. Visitation will be held on Friday May 29th, 2015, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Mary Elizabeth Martin was born on November 28th, 1941, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Arthur Allen Martin and Ellen Mae Martin (Wigman). She was raised in Webster County and attended school in Otho, Iowa. On October 21st, 1961, Mary and Donald Eugene Bell were united together in marriage in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Together, they made their home and raised their children; Jimmie, Brenda and Teresa in the St. Anthony area. Mary was a homemaker and a mother, not to just her own children but to half the town over the course of 50 years. When she wasnt taking care of everyone, Mary loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidery and gardening and her family. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Jimmie (Linda) Bell and Brenda Bell, grandchildren; Justine (Justin) Peebles, April (Josh Weigelt) Schuler, Elizabeth Bell, Nicholas (Chenia) Harriman, James Bell, great-grandchildren; Anthony Schuler Jr., Kylee Schuler, Connor Schuler, Carlos Bell, Madison Peebles, Nichole Harriman Makylah Schuler, Mia Peebles, and 6-step great grandchildren, siblings; Mable, Betty, Joan, Eugene and the many children she helped raise. In death, Mary rejoins her parents; Arthur and Ellen, husband; Donald, daughter; Teresa, sisters; Sherry, Elisa, Florence and Sandra.
