Mary Kathleen Burnes

Mary Kathleen Burnes (or Mawgaw as she was known by her family) was born February, 23, 1943 in Marshalltown, IA. Her favorite hobbies included hang gliding, dueling wildlife, and knife throwing. She met her untimely end when she turned in her 50 year anniversary AA chip for a bottle of Chivas scotch and rode in a barrel down Niagara Falls in her favorite bikini. She is survived by her husband Ken, daughter Melissa, son Chris, granddaughters Rachel and Natalie, grandson James, and the rest.

Visitation/ Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a graveside service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown.
