Mary Ann Butler

Mary Ann Butler, 76, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 while under the care of Iowa River Hospice. The Family will be holding a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at the Elim Lutheran Church in in Marshalltown, Iowa. There will be no visitation. Mary Ann Butler was born on January 6, 1938, in Union, Iowa; she was the daughter of Charles William and Ina Pearl (Sizemore) Butler. Mary Ann had attended school in the Union School. Mary Ann had worked at Kims Drive-In until she was 23, she then went to work for Marshalltown Instruments until they closed. Mary Ann then took nurses aide training and retired from the Veterans Home in Marshalltown in 2000. She loved gambling at Meskwaki Casino, always had time for Family and helped with Helping Hands Clothing Closet at her Church. Left to cherish her memory are her siblings; George Butler of Union, Iowa, Patricia Sizemore of Green Castle, Missouri , Three very special sister-in-laws whom she loved very much, Anna Butler of Marshalltown, Iowa, Kathy Butler of Albion, Iowa and Joyce Butler of Union, Iowa, many nieces, nephews and her beloved dog Sassy. In death Many Ann rejoins her parents, Charles and Ina and Siblings: Ora, Edith, James, Charles, John, Mildred, Merle and Harold and three infant siblings.
