Mary Cobb

Mary Helen Cobb, age 88, of Conrad, IA passed away on May 20, 2024 at UnityPoint Health- Allen Hospital of Waterloo.

Per her wishes and her family, cremation rites will be accorded. Services for Mary are scheduled for Thursday, May 23 at 2:00 P.M. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Kerry Jech officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation. Mary Helen Cobb was born August 19, 1935 in Fern, Iowa. She was the daughter of Glen and Freida (Schultz) Tasler. Mary attended and finished her studies at Lamoille School District in Lamoille, Iowa. On September 14, 1951 Mary married the love of her life, Amos Benson “Ben” Cobb in Marshalltown. She was a homemaker, a waitress, and also worked for EconoFoods. In her free time, Mary enjoyed reading, sewing and crocheting.

She is survived by her children: Donna (Steve) Rohrs, Doris Cobb, and Dale (Barbara) Cobb; her 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; her sister Virginia (John) Schmidt; and many nieces & nephews.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband Ben Cobb, her parents Glen and Freida Tasler, her son Dean Carl Cobb, her sister Rosetta “Rosey” Collins and her brother Carl Tasler.
