Mary Dillman

Mary E. Dillman, 84, of Marshalltown, died March 30, 2010, at Southridge Nursing and Rehab Center with her family by her side.Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to Care Initiatives Hospice in Ankeny. She was the daughter of Sanford and Neta (Neagle) Underwood. She graduated from Grinnell High School and attended William Penn. On Christmas Day, 1943, Mary married Dale Dillman in Grinnell.Mary lived in LeGrand, and then moved to Denver, Colorado in 1973, returning to Marshalltown in 1990. Mary worked at Marshalltown Instruments and Aspen-Ribbon in Colorado before retirement. She was a member of Eastern Star. Mary enjoyed bowling, square dancing, bird and squirrel watching, collecting bells, watching the Atlanta Braves, Denver Broncos, and college basketball. She treasured her family.Left to mourn their loss are her children Sharon (Ronald) Hunter of Bena, MN, Donna Reece of Marshalltown, and Patricia (Craig) Huseboe of Marshalltown; her grandchildren Michelle (Keith) Hasner, Stacy Lewis, Lynette Hunter, Kim (Kevin) Sellin, Ronda Allen (Jeff Nettle), and James (Kim) Huseboe; her eight great-grandchildren; her one great-great-grandchild; her sisters Iva Kooser and Wanda Pederson; her sisters-in-law Ann Underwood and Rosella Dillman; her brother-in-law Glen Dillman; and many nieces and nephews. In death, she rejoins her parents, her husband Dale who died in 2004, her sister Opal McCaulley, her brother Thomas Underwood, and her grandson Greg Huseboe.
