Mary Jane Harmon, 63, of Marshalltown, passed away on Saturday, October15, 2011 surrounded by her family and under the care of Iowa River Hospice.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was the daughter of Lewis Dewey and Pauline Marie (Raines) Perdue. Mary attended school in the area of her birth. She had married Mark Arp and later married Alfred Harmon at the Nazarene Church in Marshalltown on December 26, 1974. She had resided in Marshalltown until her passing. Mary had been a CNA her working career. She had a great love for her family, especially her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.Left to cherish her memory are her children; Tina (Scott) Perdue-Earles, Brenda (Robert) McBride and Pat Harmon all of Marshalltown and Debbie (Shane) Smith of Texas, her 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and 2 more on the way, her siblings, Ann Fisher, Dewey (Becky) Perdue, Larry (Jeanette) Perdue.In death Mary rejoins her parents; Lewis Perdue and Pauline (Hugh) Carney and sister, Cledith Peerenboom.
