Mary Hooper Davis, 56, of rural Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Central Iowa Health Care formerly MMSC in Marshalltown. (PLEASE NOTE DATE) Visitation will be on Thursday, June 25, 2015, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. The family will be holding a Memorial Service on Friday, June 26, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at the Green Mountain Lions Club Building, Green Mountain, Iowa. Mary Hooper was born on February 24, 1959, in Waterloo, Iowa; she was the daughter of Luther and Roseann (Trent) Hooper. She attended school in the Green Mountain Community School District graduating with the class of 1977. In October of 1995, Mary was united in marriage to Tim Davis at the Marshalltown Courthouse in Marshalltown, Iowa. Mary and Tim lived in rural Marshall County their entire married lives. Mary had worked at Kmart for the last 15 years. She enjoyed all things art, wood burning, painting pictures, she enjoyed her yard, garden, and road trips anywhere, she loved her family, especially her grandbabies. Mary was a fun loving friendly person, who didnt know a stranger, she will be missed by her many friends and customers at Kmart. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 20 years, Tim of rural Marshalltown, Sons: Kyle (Bonnie) Davis and Kasey Davis both of Marshalltown, Iowa, grandchildren, Ashton, Braeden and Alice. Mom and Step-father, Roseann Hooper and Stanley Chesick of Gilman, Iowa, Siblings, Merle Hooper of Jasper Tennessee, and Ann Hooper of Green Mountain, Iowa. In death Mary rejoins her father, Luther, grandparents Ralph and Margaret Trent and Frank and Lilly Hooper.
