Mary Alice Linser

Mary A. Wark Linser, 79, of Marshalltown passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015, at home while being cared for by her son Mark and wife Elaine and under the care of Iowa River Hospice in Marshalltown, Iowa. Funeral Services will be held on at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Mary Alice Wark was born on April 11, 1936, in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, she was the daughter of George and Charlotte (Davis) Wark; Mary attended high school in the Parker Prairie High School, and attended college at Iowa State University getting a degree in Interior Design. On August 1, 1954, Mary Alice was united in marriage to Roger Linser at the First Methodist Church in Henning, Minnesota. Roger and Mary owned and operated Mary Lynn Interiors and Fabric in Marshalltown for 30 years. Mary had been a member of First Baptist Church in Marshalltown, Iowa, Soroptimist, Lioness, Gideons. She loved to garden and can her bounty from the garden, sew and bake but her priority was her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Daniel(Kay) Linser, Mark (Elaine) Linser all of Marshalltown, Iowa, Judith Culberson of, California, Tim Linser of Washington, State and Philip (Linda) Linser of Ankeny, Iowa, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grand-children. In death Mary Alice rejoins her husband, Roger parents, George and Charlotte, and a son, Joel, sister, Helen, and brothers, George Jr. and Donald.
