Mary Lou Keese was born December 28, 1948 to parents Robert and Colleen (Lynch) Keese in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was raised within Green Mountain along her three siblings. She attended school at Green Mountain and graduated in the class of 1967. She attended college at Marshalltown Community College where she received her associates of arts degree for secretarial work. On September 12, 1970, she was united in marriage to the love of her life Everett Mills in Green Mountain. The two called Traer their home as they began their family having their children Jim and Jennifer whom they raised together. Mary Lou worked for a number of years as an administrative assistant working at Kim Houlding Veternarian for a number of years before working at various car dealerships. They called Traer their home for 31 years until they moved to Hubbard to where they called home for 20 years. In her free time, Mary Lou was active within the Green Mountain United Church of Christ, serving as a secretary for the horse shows, and a member of Cedar Valley Riders. She loved to go on motorcycle rides all over the country with Everett, watching her children and grandchildren play sporting events which she would never miss, watching the Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes, playing the organ at church on Sundays, going golfing, collecting precious moment keepsakes, taking care of her family, playing Liverpool rummy with her family, and spoiling her fur babies. Left to remember and cherish her memory are her husband Everett; her children, Jim (Misty) Mills and Jennifer Ketchum; her grandchildren, Erica (Austin) Moran, Michelle Babinat, Andrew Kyser and Brittany Kyser; her great-grandchildren, Alivia Moran, Myra Kyser and Raiden Kyser; her siblings, Roberta Keese, Jo (Tim) Ruff, Jon (Cindy) Keese; her fur babies, Spike, Peaches, Rosie, Ginger and Tiki; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
