Mary Ann Mcnutt

Mary Ann McNutt, age 91, of Marshalltown, passed away Friday morning, February 28th, at the Iowa Veterans Home while in their loving care and that of the Iowa River Hospice.           Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 3rd, at the Iowa Veterans Home Chapel with Angela Doty, Chaplain officiating. Ph. 641-844-1234.           Born Mary Ann Hale on January 15th, 1929, in Macedonia, Hamilton County, IL, she was the daughter of Paul and Ruth (Warren) Hale. She received her education in the Barnes Country School.           On January 11th, 1958, in Maryville, MO, she was united in marriage to Dean McNutt. They made their home in southern Illinois farming for 24 years, in Woodward where she worked at the state hospital in the boy’s ward and Marshalltown where she was employed as a nurse’s aide and cook. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.           Surviving are Jackie Fiscus- her friend, guardian and caregiver who was blessed to have Mary Ann in her life for many years, adopted granddaughter Kristy Keeler of Clive, niece Rose Ann Daniels, nephews Steven, Brad and Robin Lawrence,  and sister Kathryn Stroup of Perry, IA.           In death, Mary Ann rejoined her husband, her parents, sister Martha “Bobbie” Lawrence and brother John Hale.
