Mary Lillian Haberman-Miller, 97, of Toledo, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Carrington Place in Toledo, Iowa. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Toledo, Iowa, with Father Mike Mescher officiating. Public visitation will be held one hour before services at the church where her family will be present to greet friends. She will be laid to rest at St. Patricks cemetery. Mary Lillian Miller was born on March 3, 1916, the daughter of Louis and Mary C. (Imhoff) Allen. She was raised and educated in the Fort Dodge area, graduating from Sacred Heart Academy in 1933. Mary worked in the retail business for many years, later in life she worked at the Iowa State Juvenile Home and retired from Dr. Charles Mapelthorps office in Toledo. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, Board of review at Grandview Acres - now Carrington Place of Toledo, several area card clubs, C.C.W. at St. Patricks and President of the Garden Club. Mary had a true passion for cooking - especially big family dinners, playing cards and loved her flower gardens. Mary is survived by three daughters: Joan McKown of Tama, Iowa, Mary (Tom) Decker of Marshalltown, Iowa and Judy Chamberlain of Clinton, Iowa; grandchildren: Michael (Nosika) Fisher, Anna (Sean) Lyons, Lisa (Jeff) Knipper, John (Laura) McKown, Dennis Johnson, Christine Holzerland, Paul Holzerland, and Joe (Donna) Holzerland; great-grandchildren: Brianna Anderson, Zachary McKown, Scott Holzerland, Amy Holzerland, Michael Parker, Mary Holzerland, Breanna Eggers, Emily Eggers, Tasia Eicher, Tylyn Eicher, Natalie Fisher, Delaney Lyons, and Jordan Cady. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands; two brothers; two sisters; one son and one daughter, and a grandaughter.
