Connie was born at home to Laurence and Kathryn (White) Kline on October 21, 1924, as Mary Constance Kline near the Alice Church of God which is 6 miles North of Conrad. Growing up, she loved bringing in the cows with her dad. In May of 1942, she graduated from Conrad High School and married Wilbur McWilliams that same day. This union was blessed with four daughters: Mary, Martha, Sara, and Jane. Later, Connie was united in marriage to Dale Miner.
Connie followed the command of Jesus in Mark 12: 29-31 and loved two things more than anything else: the Lord and Others. She started attending the Alice Church when she was 2 weeks old and hardly ever missed a Sunday. In later life, she was a dedicated member of the Ladies Aide Society and an active member of the Le Grand Friends Church. She also found great joy in giving back, volunteering overnight at the House of Compassion, and leading weekly Bible studies at Wolfe Ranch. Friday night suppers were especially fun when the families would gather for sister talk, baby hugging, cousins playing, and love sharing to a table of Connie’s oven fried chicken. Connie and Dale loved their annual trips to Oklahoma to take clothes and other donations to the reservation. She also never met a stranger and asked everyone who crossed her path, "Do you know Jesus?" She was a well-known and loved Tupperware Lady, throwing parties for over 50 years. She also spent 5 years selling Avon products. Connie always dressed her best and never went anywhere without her pink velvet lipstick.
Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters: Martha (Bill) Fisher of Marshalltown, Sara (Floyd) Benda of Merriam Woods, MO; and Jane (Delmar) Kuhlers of Muscatine and 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; and 22 great, great grandchildren and her 83- year-old "baby brother," John Kline of Montgomery, AL and many nieces and nephews.
In eternal life, she is reunited with her beloved husband Dale; her daughter, Mary Rattray; son-in-law Scotty Rattray; her grandson, Matthew Benda, a great-grandson Noah Ryan and two great-great-grandchildren Madilyn and Michael Prunty; a grandson-in-law Harry Ryan; her parents and her sister, Helene Mooty; brother-in-law Charles Mooty Jr., sister-in-law Ann Kline; 2 nieces Margaret Stahl and Liz Trager. Now she is talking to Jesus.
