Mary Louise Rubenbauer

Mary Louise Rubenbauer, 78, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015, at Western Arizona Medical Center in Bullhead, Arizona, with her loving family by her side. Funeral services for Mary will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 26, 2015, at Trinity Lutheran Church of Dillon with Pastor Fred Berry officiating. Public visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home where her family will be present to greet friends. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Mary and her family. Mary Louise Wilkens was born on August 1, 1936, in Carroll, Iowa. She was the daughter of William and Olive (Piper) Wilkens. She attended school and graduated from St. Marys Catholic School. On September 8, 1953, Mary was united in marriage to Richard Rubenbauer in Kansas City, Missouri. From this union three children were born: Rick, Ron, and Robin. Over the years, Mary worked at the family ice cream stand, as a bookkeeper for the Elevator, and helped on the family farm. Mary enjoyed traveling with Richard, especially taking the motor home to Alaska. Caring for her family was top on her list of priorities and loved eating sweets, with donuts being one of her favorites. Marys memberships included the Dillon Church and the Dillon Social Club. Left to cherish Marys memory are her husband, Richard Lloyd Rubenbauer, and her children: Rick (Kim) Rubenbauer, Ron (Debbie) Rubenbauer, and Robin (Kurt) Hansen; her grandchildren: Jason Rubenbauer, John Rubenbauer, Jodi Rubenbauer, Kristen Boehmer, Jennifer Nelson, Ryan Rubenbauer, Paige Gourley, Zach Rubenbauer, Ethan Rubenbauer, Luke Hansen, Kelsey Schroeder, Kathleen Hansen, and Logan Hansen; great-grandchildren: Chelsey, Gracelynn, Spencer, Alexa, J.J., Ty, Graeden, Natalie, Alorah, Jack, and Eve; great-great granddaughter, Autumn; siblings: Harry (Regina) Wilkens, Robert (Mildred) Wilkens, in-laws, Betty (Truman) Rosedale, and Glen (Marlene) Rubenbauer; and several nieces and nephews. In death, Mary rejoined her father, William Wilkens; her mother, Olive Wilkens; parents-in-law, Lloyd and Helen Rubenbauer, and brother and sister-in-law, Dale (Vera) Rubenbauer.
