Mary was born January 20, 1961. She was the daughter of Hattie “Sue” Ball (McClenden). In her younger years, her mother re married and she was raised by her step-father, Wayne Ball. She attended school in Ames, Iowa and was a graduate of Ames High School.

Mary was united in marriage to Joe Uranga. From their union, she had two children, Jennifer and Joshua. The two later separated. She had an artistic approach to life and she was always involved with working on various arts and crafts to a point that she would make a career of coordinating and hosting many craft shows all through the United States. She was affiliated with many churches in the Christian faith. Over the years, she called home along with her family to Story City, Boone, Pilot Mount, Boise, Idaho and Oakridge Oregon. In 2021, she married Kella Turner and they were able to share 5 years together recently moving to Marshalltown to call home.

In her free time, outside of working on arts and crafts and hosting craft shows, she enjoyed attending rummage sales and lending a hand to anyone who may need help. She was one to help others as often as she was able to. She was an avid animal lover and loved her dogs she had over the years. Most importantly, she loved being a mother to her son Joshua who was her whole world.

Those left to remember and cherish her memory are her loving husband, Kella Turner; her children, Jennifer Uranga and Joshua Uranga; and her grandchildren, Iza and Tabitha.

Mary is preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Uranga Jr.; her mother, Sue Ball; and her brother, Michael Arnette.
