Mary Andika Wamoto-Onyeka, 51, of Marshalltown, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Villa Del Sol Nursing Home in Marshalltown, Iowa.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will start after the funeral service until committal time at 12:30 p.m. at Center School Cemetery in rural Marshalltown. Phone 641-844-1234.Mary Andika Wamoto was born on November 19, 1959 in Bungoma, Kenya; she was the daughter of Mzee Japheth and Phoebe Wamoto. Mary was educated at Bunyore Girls School and Lugulu Girls High School in Western Kenya; she then moved on and graduated from Co-operative College of Kenya with a diploma in Business. Mary was united in marriage to Polycarp Onyeka Ezebuike on February 26, 1994 in Nairobi, Kenya; they had lived in Kenya and the last eight years in Marshalltown. Mary had worked in several nursing homes in the states of Kansas and Iowa including; Eldora Nursing and Rehab, Bethany Manor, Abington on Grand, Grandview Heights Rehab and Health Care, Iowa Veterans Home, CBS LLC., Iowa Hospice, Bickford Cottage, Story County Medical Center. She then returned to Kaplan University to become a Licensed Practical Nurse, after which she worked at State Center Nursing and Rehab and Baxter Health Care Center.Left to cherish her memories are her children: Roy Chidinma Onyeka, Chika Uchenna Onyeka, Chukwuemeka Ngozi Onyeka, and Ebubechukwu Daniel Onyeka, one grandson, Marquise Nathan Onyeka, her siblings: Catherine Nambisia, Peter Wamoto, Patrick Wamoto, Philip Wamoto, Jane Tambwe, Margaret Wamoto, Christine Khaemba and Barnabas Wamoto, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.MAY GOD REST MARYS SOUL IN ETERNAL PEACE
