Matt Harvey, 46, of Marshalltown, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2010, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Matts family would like to invite those in attendance at the funeral to ride their motorcycles and lead Matt to his final place of rest in Riverside Cemetery. He was the son of Warren and Mary (Wholey) Harvey. Matt graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1981 and MCC in 1982. On February 11, 1984, Matt married Chellie Cunningham at Grace United Methodist Church in Marshalltown. Matt was Chellies best friend and love of her life. The couple lived in Marshalltown their entire married lives, raising their four sons: Ryan, Trevor, Cory, and Seth. The familys world is shattered by the loss of Matt. Matt was employed at Lennox for over 24 years, most recently as 2nd shift maintenance supervisor. He was a licensed electrician, enjoyed remodeling homes and making furniture, hunting pheasant and deer, gunsmithing, and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He shared his interest in motorcycles with his sons. Matt will be missed by his wife, Chellie, of Marshalltown; his four sons Ryan Harvey (Jillisa Arrendondo) serving in Iraq with the US Army, Trevor (Katy) Harvey of Kansas City, MO, Cory Harvey and Seth Harvey, both of Marshalltown, and his special other son, Trevor Dean Harding of El Centro, CA; his mother Mary Harvey of Marshalltown; his sisters Vickie (Jack) Smith of Cheyenne, WY, Jacque (Tom) Martin of Osage, IA, and Wendy (Dave) Hall of Bartlesville, OK; his brothers Ken (Julie) Harvey of Marshalltown, John (Tracey) Harvey of St. Anthony, and Tim Harvey of Marshalltown; uncle Charles (Irene) Harvey; aunt Virginia Ball; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. In death, he has rejoined his father, his brothers Michael and David, his sister Elizabeth, and his in-laws Bill and Doretta Cunningham.
