Matthew J. Mills, 24, of Albion, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown.   Funeral services for Matthew will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Matthew and his family.   Matthew Mills was born on May 3, 1994 in Stuart, Florida to James Mills and Ronny Matney. He graduated from BCLUW. Matthew enjoyed playing pool, giving wise advice, listening to all types of music, loved his cat, Tool and was a diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan. Matthew had the biggest, loving heart and was very self-less, kind and forgiving. Matthew faced his challenges with courage and grace and was fearless and even described as a “warrior”.   Matthew is survived by his parents, James and Ronny; brother, Nicholas Mills; grandma, Linda Matney and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.   Matthew is preceded in death by his grandpa, Ronald Matney and his nana Juanita Mills and papa William Mills.
