Maxine Randall

Maxine Max Randall, 85, of Marshalltown, died on Friday, November 30, 2007 at the Grandview Heights Care Center while in the care of her loving family and the Iowa River Hospice. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Immediately following will be a time of fellowship and refreshments at the funeral home. There will be a private family burial at the Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Maxine and her family. Born Maxine Mary Collins on August 19, 1922, at St. Anthony, Iowa, she was the daughter of Earl and Calista (Lang) Collins. She graduated from St. Marys High School. On November 23, 1941, she married Raymond Randall in Marshalltown. Raymond died in 1984. Maxine cleaned houses later in life and enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. Surviving Maxine are her children: Marcia (Claude) Mull of Marshalltown, Chuck (Julie) Randall of Albion, Suzanne Sellman of Lakewood, WA, and Scott (Sally) Randall of Marshalltown, 4 grandsons, 7 granddaughters, and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving Maxine are her siblings: Helen Halverson, Pat Finch, and Barbara Freeland, all of Marshalltown, and Jo Brueshoff of California, as well as relatives: Nielie Collins, Nelda Collins, and Jack Sharer. In death, she has rejoined her husband, her parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and a son, Raymond.
