Maxine Seaton

Maxine Clara Seaton, 98, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Southridge Nursing and Rehab Center. Graveside services for Maxine will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown, Iowa. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Maxine and her family. Maxine Fisher was born on July 16, 1916, the daughter of Herbert and Christina (Hannusch) Fisher. She graduated from Ferrald High School in 1934 and then went on to cosmetologist school for one year at Thompsons Beauty School in Des Moines, Iowa. She was united in marriage to John Seaton in 1977 and they were married until his passing in 1994. Maxine owned and operated her own salon/nails from 1939-2006. When she was not working her passions were cooking, flower gardens, mowing the lawn and fixing hair. She is survived by her grandchildren; Darrin (Angie) Laverty and Lareesa Riley; and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, John; parents Herbert and Christina (Hannusch) Fisher; one daughter: Sandra Schroeder and two brothers: Ernest and Arlo
