Maxine Sinclair, 89, of Ferguson, Iowa passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown with her loving family at her side. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Ferguson Bible Church in Ferguson, Iowa on Tuesday April 7, 2015, at the Ferguson Christian Bible Church in Ferguson, Iowa. Visitation will be Monday, April 6, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Memorials may be directed to Ferguson Bible Church or Iowa River Hospice. Whitmore was born on July 04, 1924, in Clemons, Iowa; she was the daughter of Steven and Goldie (Hauser) Whitmore. She attended school in the Liberty Country School, at the age of 15 Maxine met Laverne Sinclair, and at the age of 16, on August 31, 1941, they were united in marriage in Milan, Missouri. Maxine and Laverne made their home and raised their children, Sheryll, Phyllis and Joleen in the Marshalltown, area. Maxine worked for Clean Towel and Marshall Manufacturing before she retired. She was a member of the Ferguson Bible Church. She enjoyed raising / coaching grandkids, camping, and fishing and in her younger years, raised a big garden and canned Maxine enjoyed and was a good cook. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 74 years: Laverne Sinclair; Children: Sheryll (Jim) Frederick of Montezuma, Iowa, Phyllis (Ralph) Stanley of Ferguson, Iowa, and son-in-law, Richard Vajgrt. Grandchildren; Kellie (Jack) Shepard, Kevin (Donna) Ray, Kary (Molly) Ray, Leanne (Davin) Kruse, Jamie Stanley, Jeff Vajgrt, Dustin (Chasity) Vajgrt, Andrew (Megan) Vajgrt and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter, Joleen Vajgrt and their infant son, Laverne Eugene Sinclair, siblings: Verneta Rush, Gerald Whitmore, Everett Whitmore, Wallace Whitmore, Evelyn Davis, Audrey Davis, Donald Whitmore, Janice Stonewall, Max Whitmore, Revola Farmer and Lody Whitmore.
