Michael Bowden

Mike Bowden, 54, of State Center, died early Sunday morning, August 12th, at the Boone Community Hospital. A gathering to celebrate Mikes memory will be held Thursday, August 30th, from 5-8:00 p.m. at the home of his sister, Krista Vanness, 1510 West Main Street, Marshalltown. He was born on August 30th, 1952, in Sacramento, California; he was the son of William and Betty Louise (Vincent) Bowden. He graduated from the LaSierra High School in Sacramento. Mr. Bowden was a sheet rocker for 31 years and a member of the painters union. He enjoyed his Harley, taking his jeep in the California countryside, hunting and fishing. Surviving are his son, Michael of Sacramento, daughter Kelly of Sacramento, sister Krista (Gary) Vanness of Marshalltown, brothers Jeffrey of Portland, Oregon and Dudley and John both of Sacramento, his dogs Spud and Max and numerous friends. In death he has rejoined his parents.
