Mike Edwards

Michael S. Edwards, age 50 of Marshalltown, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospital.

Born Michael Shawn Edwards on November 21, 1974 in Hutchinson, KS, the son of John M. and Dolores (Roberson) Edwards.

Mike was united in marriage with Donna Joy Cole on December 20, 1999 at the courthouse in Hutchinson, Kansas. From this union, was one son, Johnny. Mike worked at the Iowa Veterans Home as a CNA.

Mike enjoyed playing video games, family time, and spending time with his son, Johnny.

Mike was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; and his parents, John and Dolores. He is survived by his wife, Donna; son, Johnny Parker Edwards; siblings, David (Beth) Edwards and J’Anna Edwards, all of Hutchinson, KS; and his in-laws, Edwin and Robin Cole. He is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews, Caydance, Grace, J’Salyan, Christopher, Kaleb and Jack.

Per Mike and his family’s wishes, cremation rites have taken place. Services will be held at a later date.
