Michael Roger Micllef, 58, of Toledo passed away on June 11, 2019 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Per Michael’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded and no formal services will be held. Memorials in Michael’s name may be sent to the Christ United Methodist Church in Toledo, Iowa. Michael was born May 16, 1961 in Gary, Indiana. He was the son of Ed and Carol (Walden) Micllef. On November 26, 2004 he was united to marriage to his wife Suzan (Godby) Brown in Marshalltown, Iowa. Michael had a truly entrepreneurial spirit. He owned several businesses in the Chicago area and later worked 19 years for Jim Hawk Truck Trailer, Incorporated as a mechanic in Altoona, Iowa. He also owned three businesses in Iowa. Michael loved spending time on the water, boating with his family. His hobbies included collecting clocks and guns, fixing anything that was broken, working on cars, and farm equipment. He spent time developing new products and holding a patent on one of them. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Sue of Toledo; step-son Charles (Becky) Durnin of Davenport and step-daughter Kendra (Tim) Skyles of Hubbard; 10 step grandchildren; his mother Carol Micllef of Marshalltown; two sisters Michelle (John) Dixon of Chicago, Illinois and Melissa (Doug) Price of Marshalltown; brother Marc Micllef of Cedar Falls; four nephews Blake, Blaine, Nik, and Cam; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. In death, he rejoins his Father Ed Micllef.
