Michael Eugene Sinclair, 72, of Marshalltown, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at his home. Visitation for “Stick” will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. After the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place for Mike at the American Legion Post #46 in Marshalltown from 2:00 pm until 5:00 p.m., where everyone is invited. Please dress casual, in your favorite Iowa Hawkeye attire and jeans. Memorials may be directed to the family. Michael Eugene Sinclair was born on April 3, 1949 in Marshalltown to Joe “J.D.” and Elaine Funke Sinclair. Mike graduated from Le Grand High School and then went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy. On April 25, 1981, Mike was united in marriage to Jacilyn “Jaci” Carolus in Marshalltown. Mike was retired from Fisher Control as an Assembler. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, watching westerns, and enjoyed playing golf, cards “Wahoo” and bags. Mike was a member of the American Legion Post #46 and the UAW Local 893 in Marshalltown. Mike is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jaci. Children: Eric (Jamie) Hansen of Marshalltown, Ashlea (Randy) Dall of Marshalltown, Laura (Brandon) Wolken of Marshalltown, Jenny Sinclair of Marshalltown, Mickayla (Rafael) Avalos of Marshalltown, Selena Sinclair of Dubuque, Brandon Sinclair of Nashua, Dakota Sinclair of Boone and Charlie Sinclair of Marshalltown. Siblings: Sherry (Dale) McKenna, Denny (Tina) Sinclair and Sandy Boyer. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Asa, Ty, Nathan, Chandler, Maya, McKinlee, Bennett, Susana, Chase, Juli, Tatum and one on the way as well as several nieces, nephews and other family members. Michael is preceded in death by his son, Nathan; parents, J.D. and Elaine and his brother in law, Ross.
