Michael Sorenson

Michael Sorenson, age 71, of Marshalltown, formerly of Omaha, left this earthly life on the morning of Sunday, July 24th, at Grandview Heights. A memorial gathering to remember, share memories and reminisce will be held this Saturday, July 30th, from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Born on February 4th, 1951, in Omaha, he was the son of Earl and Mary Louise (Pedersen) Sorenson. He graduated from St. Albert HS in Council Bluffs in 1969. In August of 1980, he was married to Ann Ferzley in Las Vegas. The couple later divorced but remained close. Mike was a jack of all trades and was employed at Super Saver, ITP, and Terminex. He enjoyed reading, car shows, and classic rock music. Surviving are his daughter, Stacie Sorenson (Stacy Heil) and grandchildren, Allison Sorenson and Asher Twyford, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. In death, he rejoined his parents and sisters.
