Michelle Grommet

Michelle Marie Grommet, 32, of Marshalltown passed away on April 15, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 (note new date) at New Hope Christian Church in Marshalltown at 11:00 a.m. A public visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, also at New Hope Christian Church, with the family to greet friends from    5-7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. For condolences please visit www.Mitchellfh.com or call (641)-844-1234. Michelle was born on September 25, 1986, the daughter of Andrew and Laura (Kasal) Grommet, in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was a graduate of Marshalltown High School and also from Buena Vista College. She had an artist side and would spend hours painting and drawing. When the weather was nice she loved to ride her bike around town. If she was given the opportunity to help anyone, she would drop all of her plans and make sure they received what they needed. She loved her children and her family and will be missed by countless friends. Left to cherish her memory is her significant other, Fernando Carrillo; her children: Evealina Carrillo, Elysia Carrillo and Everest Grommet; brother, Michael (Cora Mattingly) Grommet, niece, Deira Grommet and nephew, Aiden Grommet. She is also survived by her mother Laura, all of her family in Colorado, and countless aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Michelle is preceded in death by her father Andrew.
