Michelle Brown Simpson

Michelle Lei Brown Simpson, 36, of Marshalltown, died Monday evening, January 17, at the MMSC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Faith Assembly of God in Marshalltown with Pastor Duane Morraine officiating. Following cremation rites, interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com or call (641) 844-1234. Born on May 8, 1974, in Marshalltown, she was the eldest of three children born to Lawrence and Debra (Kelderman) Brown. She graduated from the Marshalltown High Schools Class of 1992 and later attended UNI. She resided much of her young life in Texas and Connecticut before returning to Marshalltown in 1990. Michelle was a homemaker and was active in the lives of her children. She enjoyed church, assisting with the youth group, going to the YMCA, scrapbooking and time with family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Brieanna Micaeyla Simpson, Tyler Raymond Simpson and Emma Lauren Paige Simpson, her father Lawrence Brown of Duncanville, TX, her mother Debra Kelderman of The Colony, TX, grandmother Janet Kelderman of Marshalltown, great-grandfather Raymond LeRoy Barker of Marshalltown, her siblings Hilari Autumn (Lewis) Scott of Frisco, TX and Lawrence Duane Brown, II of The Colony, TX., her church family at the Faith Assembly of God and many friends. In death, Michelle rejoined her grandparents Marvin and Evelyn Brown and Robert Kelderman.
