Mona Lisa Mccombs

Mona Lisa McCombs, 56, of Haverhill, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 at her home, under the care of the Iowa River Hospice Home.

Memorial services for Mona will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be prior to the service; beginning at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Matt McCombs for designation at a later time. Mona Lisa Eastman was born on September 6, 1966 in Marshalltown. She was the daughter of Earl and Katerina “Katy” (Chernucha) Eastman. After high school, Mona received her two year degree from Marshalltown Community College. On June 9, 1991, Mona was united in marriage to Matthew McCombs at Lake Red Rock. She was a stay at home mom, and loved to spend time with her two daughters. Mona was an active member of the Newton Seventh-day Adventist Church. She also enjoyed playing the piano, being outdoors, and taking lots of pictures.

Mona is survived by her husband of 31 years, Matt. Daughters: Jeaneia McCombs of Haverhill and Qaitlyn McCombs of Haverhill. She is also survived by her siblings: Mary Ann Connelly of Longmont, Colorado, Larry Eastman of Marshalltown and Dan (Linda) Eastman of Marshalltown.

Mona is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Katy.
