Mone Papiboune, 75, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family and under the wonderful care of Iowa River Hospice. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. For condolences or questions please visit: www.mitchellfh.com . Mone Papiboune was born on April 1, 1941, in Laos; she was the daughter of Poma and Muah Papiboune. In January 1958, she was united in marriage to Thong Papiboune in Loas and they moved to Marshalltown in 1979, where they raised their family. She loved being a mother and homemaker, was a great cook for her family and anyone who might need a meal. She also loved fishing, gardening, playing cards, camping, and enjoyed going to the casino, but above all her family was the most important thing in her life. She attended church at St Henrys Catholic Church. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 58 years, Thong Papiboune and her children, Ai (Tammy) Papiboune, John(Amy) Papiboune, Ky Papiboune, Piene(Jeff) Filloon and Tou Papiboune, grandchildren, Maliya, Savanah, Von, Nina(Adam), Justin, Elijah, Lydia, Emily(Karen), Brandin, Sy, Erin and Hunter, several great-grandchildren, and a sister, Thon Bi.
