Mr. Gift Bland

Mr. Gift Bland, 70, of Marshalltown, died Wednesday morning, May 21, at the MMSC. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 24th, at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Gregg Davison officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Liscomb Cemetery. Ph 641-844-1234. Born on October 23rd, 1937, at Bangor Township, in Marshall County, he was the son of Gift and Nina (Weatherly) Bland, Sr. He was employed at Cooper Manufacturing for 45 years. Surviving are his loving wife Ingeborg, two children: Jeanette (Douglas) Hyde of Richardson, Texas, and Jim (Heidi) Simmons of Hortonville, Wisconsin, three grandchildren: Brandon (Becky), Elisabeth and Katherine, sisters Bertha Kaufman of Colo, Virginia Gray of Gainesville, GA, Ruth Ann Heintz of Des Moines, Judy Bell of Glendora, CA and brother Ronald Bland of Temple City, CA. In death he has rejoined his parents and brother, Jerry Bland.
