Myra Janssen

Myra Janssen, 69, of Marshalltown, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at her home while in the care of Iowa River Hospice. Cremation rites have been accorded. She was the daughter of Tony and Wilma Paulien (Petrie) Erdman. She attended school in Albion. In 1966, Myra married Harley Janssen at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Myra and Harley made their home in Marshalltown. She had been employed at Niehouse Cleaners and the Outpost. She enjoyed socializing with her friends, watching soap operas, especially Days of Our Lives, and spending time with her children and family. Myra is survived by her sons David Janssen of Marshalltown and Darren Janssen of St. Anthony; her sisters Elaine Foran of Ironton, MN, Sharon (Phillip) Clark of Montour, Sheila (Paul) Jared of Marshalltown, Sherry Uhde of Marshalltown; and her brother Roscoe Uhde Jr. (Linda) of Kansas City, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband Harley in 1974, her brother Marvin Erdman, and her parents.
