Myrl Duane Brewster was born in Marshalltown, Iowa - December 28, 1935 - to Henry Myrl and Elva Viola (Cordes) Brewster. On Friday evening - January 29, 2016, while at home in Brighton Colorado, holding the hand of his bride of 37 years - Myrl fell asleep and awoke in the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Myrl grew up in Marshalltown and Des Moines, Iowa. After graduation from High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country as a Crew Chief on F86 Jet Aircraft. After honorable discharge from the Air Force, he worked in law enforcement. Myrl was united in marriage to Suzanne Leslie Edwards on June 24, 1978, in San Jose, California. They established their home in Fremont, California where Myrl managed a large aftermarket auto parts warehouse that supplied inventory to stores throughout California. Myrl loved hunting, fishing, photography and motorcycle riding. His collection of fishing poles and hunting rifles reflect his range of enjoyment from deep sea fishing to high mountain hunting. His photographs captured family events, travels all over the US and around the world - plus some awesome shots of his professional motorcycle road-racing friends. He and his wife delighted in weekend motorcycle rides, and longer motorcycle trips that took them throughout California, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada. Great times - fantastic memories. Myrl never met a stranger, and made friends everywhere he went. He and his wife enjoyed traveling the United States and the World. Myrl and Leslie relocated to Brighton, Colorado in 2004. They continued to travel and enjoy the company of family and friends. Myrl was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Leslie Brewster; his cousin Betty Hess of Grundy Center, Iowa; Sisters-in-law Marsha (Ralph) Perkins Parker, CO; Denise (Roy) Perkins Parker, CO; Wendie (Lester) Kadner Bellevue, NE; Brother-in-law Philip (Pat) Edwards Ames, IA; and a fantabulous group of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
