Nadine Kjormoe

Nadine Kjormoe, 82, of Marshalltown, died Sunday morning, July 10, at the Glenwood Place. A memorial gathering and celebration of her life will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Ph. 641-844-1234. Born Nadine Stonewall on October 21, 1928, at the family home a mile north of Gilman, she was the eighth child of ten born to Gifford and Hannah (Gunderson) Stonewall. She graduated from the Gilman Consolidated School in 1946. In February of 1950, she was united in marriage to John Kjormoe. They made their home primarily in Marshalltown where she was employed at Woodbury School in the food service program. Nadine also volunteered at the Emergency Food Box, enjoyed children and animals, watching baseball, and dearly loved her family. Left to cherish her memory are her children: John (Jo) Kjormoe and their family- Kip of Marshalltown, Abby (Mike Garrett) of Marshalltown and Allison (Rich) Green of Ankeny; Craig Kjormoe of Marshalltown; Sara Robertson of Ankeny and her children Zach (Emily Halva) of St. Louis and Hannah of Sioux City, her brother Robert Jiggs (Donna) Stonewall of Gilman, sisters Frances Coffey of Ames and Norma Sis (Les) Campbell of Ames, as well as many nieces and nephews. In Death, Nadine rejoined her beloved husband John who died on July 15, 1994, her parents, a daughter in infancy and siblings: Robert, Donald, Archie, Myron and Gerald Stonewall and Maxine Hunsaker.
