Nancy Jane Jones

Nancy J. (Mrs. Randall) Jones, 76, of Marshalltown, died Thursday, January 10th, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Memorial services celebrating her life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with a time of fellowship and refreshments to immediately follow. Born Nancy Jane Tegtmeyer on July 30th, 1931, in Kansas City, Missouri, she was the daughter of Raymond and Jane (Hay) Tegtmeyer. After high school, her family moved to Cedar Rapids where she attended Coe College before receiving her nursing diploma from Mercy Hospital in Marshalltown. On January 5th, 1956, in Keokuk, she was united in marriage to Randall Jones. They made their home in Marshalltown all of their married lives where she was employed as a nurse for Mercy Hospital, MACH and later MMSC, retiring 11 years ago. Nancy deeply loved her family and enjoyed crafts, making computer cards and doing e-mail, knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch and especially family pets. Left to cherish her memory and celebrate her life are her loving husband of 52 years, Randall, her loving children: Steve (Diane) Jones of Ames, Deb (Chuck) Pille of Burnsville, MN., and Tracy (John) Discher of Burnsville, MN., her treasured grandchildren: Dan (Anja) Jones and their daughter Amalia, Mike (Megan) Jones, Ben Jones, Amy, Justin and Lindsey Pille and Jordan and Nicholas Discher, her brother Richard (Jackie) Tegtmeyer of Vail, Arizona, and a host of friends. In death she has rejoined her parents, sister Mary and brother Ray. The Jones family wishes to thank everyone for all their generous love and support.
