Nancy Lee Peshel

Nancy Lee Peshel, 72, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, November 26, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Following Nancy’ wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a public visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home where her family will be present to greet friends. Following her visitation, there will be no formal services held. Memorial contributions may be directed in Nancy’s name to her family. Nancy Lee Collins was born on August 10, 1945, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Hellen (Manship) Collins. She was raised and educated in the Marshalltown School District, graduating from Marshalltown High School with the class of 1963. Following high school, Nancy went on to graduate from cosmetology school in Marshalltown. Nancy was united in marriage to Daniel Peshel for many years. From this union four children were born: Bob, Brian, Brenda and Brandon. Nancy and Dan did later divorce but always remained close. She was a hard working woman and dedicated her life to her career at Casey’s General Store and her family. Nancy also made church one of her top priorities in her life. She was a proud member of the UMW Church and her Casey’s Coffee Club. Nancy had a passion for cards, gambling, being involved with anything at her church and spending quality time with her family. Left to cherish Nancy’s memory are her children: Robert (Kelly) Peshel, Brian Peshel, Brenda (Ken) Arnote and Brandon (Jessica) Peshel; 14 grandchildren: Molly, Hannah, Nick, Caitlyn, Shayla, Ashley, Brayden, Michaela, Madison, Caleb, Xavier, Aleara and Tabias; 4 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband: Dan Peshel and her parents: Harold and Hellen.
